In and around Aviemore
Nestling in the romantic beauty of the Scottish Highlands, approximately 30 miles south of Inverness lies the village of Aviemore. World renowned as a winter sports destination, Aviemore is the perfect place for activity and sporting holidays as well as those looking for a relaxing getaway or family vacation.
Green Loch

During the winter it is the perfect base for those looking to ski or snowboard on the Cairngorm Mountains or cross country ski on the Glenmore forest trails. There are a number of other activities to fill your day from sledging to mountaineering or taking a trip on a husky pulled sleigh. Also a must see is the Reindeer centre where you can view Santa's friends.

During the summer there are a number of golf courses in the area, either 9 or 18 hole which provide challenges for both the low and high handicapper. There are many wildlife attractions such as the Highland Wildlife park and the RSPB Centre at Loch Garten which has a pair of breeding ospreys. This is in addition to the opportunities to spot wild deer, red squirrels and the other wildlife unique to this area of Scotland while undertaking a walk along the numerous tracks and pathways through some of the oldest forests in Europe.

For younger family members there is Landmark Heritage Park in Carrbridge with wild water coasters, climbing wall and much much more. The Strathspey Steam Railway will transport you from Aviemore to "Glenbogle" station, as seen on Monarch of the Glen and if the weather is unfavourable there is always Coylumbridge fun house and the soon to be opened swimming complex with flumes which is situated in the centre of Aviemore.

For those in search of an adrenaline rush there are activities such as paintballing, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and mountain biking (both cross country and downhill!).
